Replacement of the geoheritage plaque at Cogmans Kloof

The original plaque pictured (above) was removed along with the plinth during the upgrade of the recent road works along the route between Motagu and Ashton.
The task to replace the plaque has been resurrected and John Rogers and I have undertaken to get this done.
Progress thus far is that we have made contact with the Mayor's office and Montagu Tourism Office who have been to check the site. The best option seems to be to install the plaque on a suitable flat-ish surface in the vicinity of the original plaque.
A more recent photo (30 March 2023). We have asked for a few more photos so that we can prepare for the installation. We will schedule a site visit as soon as we have better info.
